Tyler “Sweetie Boy” McCormick’s story begins in a trailer park in a small town of Arcade, NY, nestled in upstate New York. He lived with his father time, a hardworking and dedicated truck driver. While his father was on the road it was his Grandmother Bae who provided the warmth, guidance, and stability he needed.
At the tender age of seven, during one of those cherished Saturday night drives with his father, Tyler made a solemn vow: he would one day establish his own trucking company. This promise, born from a deep respect for his father’s relentless work ethic, became a guiding star for Tyler.
As he approached his senior year of high school, Tyler made a bold and transformative decision to move to Richmond, VA. Leaving behind the familiar confines of Arcade for the up-and-coming bustling city life was a significant culture shift for young Tyler. To make ends meet, he took on various odd jobs, demonstrating a work ethic as forceful as his father’s.
By the age of 20, Tyler’s resolve to fulfill his childhood promise had only strengthened. Determined and persistent, he sought advice from anyone willing to share insights on entrepreneurship and leadership. These conversations laid the groundwork for what would become a remarkable business venture.
In 2010, Tyler founded Sweetie Boy Transportation. What started as a humble beginning quickly flourished into a thriving enterprise. Today, Sweetie Boy Transportation boasts a workforce of over 250+ employees and operates extensively throughout the United States and Canada.
Tyler attributes his success to the unwavering support of his father, his grandmother, his wife Katie, and the dedicated team at Sweetie Boy. He often reflects on how their guidance and encouragement have been instrumental in his journey from the trailer park to becoming a transport tycoon.
Tyler ” Sweetie Boy” McCormick’s story is a testament to the power of determination, the importance of family support, and the impact of a promise made by a young boy on a Saturday night drive.
