Tyler “Sweetie Boy” McCormick grew up in Arcade, a town in upstate New York. Raised by his hardworking father, Tyler found solace and guidance in his grandmother Bea during the times his father was on the road or attending seminary.
At the age of seven, during a Saturday night drive with his father, Tyler made a vow—one day, he would establish his own trucking company. Fueled by respect for his father and a deep sense of commitment, he was determined to make that promise a reality.
After his senior year of high school, Tyler made the bold decision to relocate to Richmond, Virginia. The transition from his humble beginnings to a bustling city was a profound cultural shift for him. To make ends meet, he took on various odd jobs until he turned 20 and resolved to fulfill his pledge to his father.
Determined and persistent, Tyler sought advice from experts on entrepreneurship and effective leadership. In 2010, he founded Sweetie Boy Transportation. Since then, the company has flourished, having over 260 employees and extending its operations across the United States and into Canada.
Tyler attributes his success to the unwavering support of his father, grandmother, wife, and the dedicated team at Sweetie Boy. He knows that without their guidance and encouragement, his success would not be possible.
